Yes indeed, Chubb Rock's immortal words on Rapper/fan relations clearly rang true on Saturday August 23rd when hip-hop legends De La Soul came through Rasputin's in Berkeley and allowed themselves to make a few hundred friends of their own. All walks of life were standing in line, waiting their turn to meet the group who inspired a whole generation of conscious hip-hop and none could say they were disappointed. In fact, De La showed just as much love as they received, appearing sincerely grateful for all the attention.
