Franti has become famous for his message of peace and empowerment, but you don't really get it until you see him perform in person. Even the hard of heart were won over by his half-hour set at Rasputin in Berkeley, which ranged from soul to reggae to funk and hip-hop, all buoyed by his incredible band (featuring an insane beat-boxer named Radioactive and the guitar talents of Dave Shul) and Franti's own energetic delivery.
