Busting ass out of Oakland, Forthmorning has come a long way within two years of existence. In the tradition of contemporary punk bands like Killswitch Engage, Atreyu, and the Used, Forthmorning combines aggressive rock with not so aggressive vocals. A strong rhythm section featuring drummer Danny Glaspy, bassist Johaan Hill, and guitarists Daniel Paragas and Nick Ramos straddles feel and mechanical strength. Jerry Camuso’s vocals sound not unlike the guy from Dredg with the occasional screamoish bellow. Taking charge of their own booking, promotion, and merch, Forthmorning
has the kind of work ethic that breeds success. Like opening for Avril
Lavigne at the Concord Pavilion for example. On the heels of their recent
self released EP entitled “….and the rest will follow”,
Forthmorning is scheduled to begin a 12 day tour through Nevada, Utah,
and Arizona beginning at Blake’s On Telegraph on October 26th.
Mixed and Mastered at Skyline Studios by Geoff Garnett their new EP
puts a very professional first foot forward with cover art by guitarist
Nick Ramos (who designs all their art, incidently). |
