Mieszko Talarczyk, frontman for the Swedish grinders Nasum, tragically died in the Thailand tsunami disaster on
December 26th, 2004.  His impact in the extreme metal scene will not be forgotten...Oakland malpractitioners Impaled release their Century Media debut  "Death after Life" on 02/21/05. Featuring new guitarist Jason Kocol, and production by Billy Anderson (Mr. Bungle, Melvins), it promises to be a messy affair! Mosh...

Fellow O-towners All Shall Perish will soon hit the road with Agnostic Front, Martyr AD, and Love is Red to unveil their Nuclear Blast release "Hate.Malice.Revenge"...  German thrash maestros Kreator will conduct an evening of fist-pounding metal on April 22, 2005 at the Pound, S.F. Their new album "Enemy of God" is available at Starbucks locations worldwide.  Also on the bill are Vader, and Autumn Offering...

Parting shots--Deicide has parted ways with original members Eric and Brian Hoffman.   Apparently Eric Hoffman's grand jury testimony in the Balco investigation revealed that because of years of intensive steroid use, he no longer has testicles. Frontman Glen Benton explained "Eric's lack of balls is rather un-metal". The Hoffmans couldn't be reached for comment...
