Painfully heavy hard core driven punk rock. Aiden draw influence from such contemporaries My Chemical Romance and AFI, but throw their own brand of gloom and doom lyrics. Thick production and shout along vocals raise this a step above most acts following this trend. While they do nothing original, fans of the genre will be very much interested in hearing this band's output. Their level of energy and intensity overshadows their lack of originality. "Knife Blood Nightmare" comes across like a brick through a window. The powerhouse drumming and meaty guitars leave nothing for subtlety. "Die Romantic" engulfs the listener and captures their attention with the earnest lyrics and catchy vocal melodies. "See You In Hell..." is the perfect note to end the album with. Dark, heavy and full of spite and angst. Aiden may very well be the heir to the AFI throne. -Bobby M
