Whether you like or dislike the “Governator” (or haven’t yet made up your mind), you’ll want to watch this slice of history that documents the recall vote that ousted Democrat Gray Davis and sent Arnold to Sacramento. Insightful and funny, we get to witness firsthand, the media circus that centered around the popular actor and his rise to power. It’s sad watching comparisons between the Davis and Schwarzenegger campaigns: Davis and his wife hold meager rallies to defeat the recall, but it’s obvious that he doesn’t stand a chance against the charisma of his opponent. We’re also treated to debates by some of the other 150 hopefuls, including a stripper, performance artists and Gary Coleman who seems desperate to thrust himself back in the spotlight once again. Personally, I’m willing to give the guy a chance and see if he lives up to his promises, but the way he bullies his way through press conferences and debates is a tad worrisome. If you live in California, you need to see this. -- David Bassin
