When Bob Moog passed away a few weeks ago, he left a big hole in the electronic community. Here was a man who changed the nature of popular music without ever becoming a rock star or acting out an addiction problem on stage. Bob tells his story by speaking directly to the camera, or to musicians and his old business partners, who have wonderful tales of their own to tell. Among them are Rick Wakeman, Gershon Kingsley, Jean Jacques Perry and DJ Spooky, while others such as Tino Corp, Bernie Worell, Charlie Clouser and Stereolab are captured using Moog’s synthesizers in performance. Bob also shares some of his cosmic philosophy such as claiming that he is just a conduit for ideas and creations that are sent from somewhere else and takes us on a tour or his organic garden at home in North Carolina. - David Bassin
