 
Comedian David Steinberg hosted this off-center variety show in 1972 for Canadian television that featured a different celebrity guest each week. Milton Berle, Tommy Smothers, Robert Vaughn, Adrienne Barbeau and Jon Voight were just a few of the stars who were integrated into antics that took place both on and off-stage and some of the series regulars – Martin Short, John Candy, Dave Thomas and others, went on to successful film and TV careers in the years that followed. Some of the jokes are dated - that’s to be expected from a show that’s over 20 years old, but Steinberg was (and is) a funny guy and his down-home humor carries the program. - David Bassin
