 
Decent and worthwhile Industrial/EBM best of albums are very hard to come by; but Leaether Strip really did release the very best of which Claus Larsen began in the early nineties, and includes his a complete, yes complete discography including comps, special guest spots on other artist album, etc. He likes to get credit for his music, I can respect that. I mostly respect Larsen for being able to create such a vast catalog out of drum loops and synthetic bleeps so early on before computer programs were so prevalent, and represented many of his S&M topics through such an inorganic medium. Think about it, you have a project named Leaether Strip, brilliant songs such as “Break My Back”, “Fit For Flogging”, “Strap Me Down”, “Under My Control”, etc. (this is just a brief glance of the ones featured in this comp), and you are doing expressing these views through EBM; a very sterile genre as a very private and reserved person who bears their soul through the music that they create. His alter ego is this aggressive dom named Klute, whom the bonus tracks are from. I have always been a fan, and am now exhilarated that this has been released, since it has rare tracks and bonus new tracks. It is an essential MUST HAVE if you are at all into either BDSM or Old School Industrial music, or just painful music for that matter. -- Clara Flores
