Supergrass never ceases to amaze me. This album is perfect. The harmonies are superb! It is such a heavenly album. It is clear evidence that the band has grown up from the nitty gritty rockers into very accomplished musicians who represent the collective malaise of its generation. The recording is clear and it can be ambient at times because the music is given a superior place over the vocals. The opening track “Tales of Endurance (pt.4, 5 &6)” Mick sings to the best rhythm ever, like Travolta’s Staying Alive cocky swagger. The song “Sad Girl” is a very French pop influenced song that has different dimensions. Each of the songs are so melodic and special, but what a unique album they make up when they are strung along together and cleverly named Road to Rouen. - Clara Flores
